Hi my name is Mike and this is a short introduction to myself and the service I offer.
I have been playing now for many years and concurrently play lead guitar in a band. Over the years I have accumulated a selection of guitars and realise the importance of maintaining, not only the guitars by changing the strings, but also giving them a full service to maintain the sound and the way the guitar feels when you play. If like me you have a guitar, or several guitars, you realise how quickly the look, the feel and the sound changes if they are not looked after.
A guitar left with old strings for instance is a hazard for the guitar as the strings, over a period of time, loose their elasticity and therefore puts pressure on the neck which can cause it to bend resulting in a concave arc which also raises the height of the strings making it more challenging to play and detrimental to the body of the guitar.

A service and setup will not only make your guitar look new again but will give you the best sound and playability possible, why not fall in love with your guitar again.
In recent times I have retired from full-time work and therefore can dedicate some of my spare time to help others by offering a competitive priced guitar service from my Stratford Strings Workshop.

Re-string including inspection lemon oil board graphite slots total clean £30 + strings
Major Set-up and service including intonation, neck adjustment, string height adjustment, output socket check and adjustment, machine head check and adjustment, fret polish £60 + strings
Further work if required will always be quoted before any work undertaken.
